What is the Alliance, you ask?
The Alliance is a project group intended to encourage visual and literary artists to work together. I've felt for some time that the dA Literature Community can at times be somewhat insular - to its detriment. We in the Lit Community are also sometimes prone to griping about the lack of exposure our work receives when compared to that of visual artists. So in the spirit of ^thorns brilliant Complaint Challenge I thought I would try to do something about that. And so the Alliance was born!
Because I, your founder, have a deep and abiding love for the seasons, this group now hosts seasonal contests, and as the Winter Contest is now over, it is time for Spring. ^^; I
Single Stock ChallengeHello from the admins of #TheArtOfManipulation! It's time for a new Contest and this one is going to be BIG! :happybounce:
How it Will Work
For this contest, we are going to make things TOUGH. We will provide you with a list of stockers that you can choose from, however you only get to choose ONE stock artist and you must use all stock from that artist. And to make things even harder, you cannot use any human models, premade backgrounds, PNG cut-outs, or brushes (except the preset ones located in your software already). Also you MUST use a minimum of 3 stock images, there is no maximum :)

Dialectical Dessertism: The ContestIt has long been debated just how cake and pie came to be bitter enemies (and occassional allies against other desserts).  Some say it started in the Middle Ages when butter was first used for both unequally awesome desserts.  
While others say it was when cake became a CV and the power went to her head!  
At still yet, there is the rumor that is started when pie failed his sobriety test and blamed it all on cake for keeping him out too late.
But maybe none of those are the real story.  That's where YOU come in.
What's this Contest About?
It's pretty simple.  You're going to answer a very simple question.  What is the origin of the pie/cake debacle?  How you go about doing that is completely up to you.  But since you have complete creative freedom to write history, we're expecting some very interesting (to say the least) renditions.

As all of you can see, the theme of our contest is pretty clear and straight forward.It's all about Freedom of Expression. In this contest members will have to create artthat supports the human right to express ideas and opinions freely but always without deliberately causing harm to other's character and/or reputation by false or misleading statements. To artists,freedom of Expression is most imporant. The tournament was a blast and there were many participants! And I am going to revise it!:omg: So, here is what’s going to happen:

After all the participants are gathered, I will use random.org to match the participants up randomly. I will then select a topic, and then you and your opponent will face off and make an emote based on the theme. You will have 1 week to make the emote, and then our judges will decide the winner of each match up.
 
If you win your match, you will move on to the next round, and face off another winner

OC Summer Fun in The Sun Contest! Cash Prizes!Time to get this second contest of the year started!  The first one I held this year had a decent turn out, but I'm hoping even more people enter this one.  What can I say, I enjoy seeing the drawings people come up with for my contests.  
If you couldn't tell from the title this contest involves original characters and summer.  This will be a "draw yours and my original character" type of contest in which you show the characters enjoying summer.  Each entry must have at least one of my characters and one of your characters for it to be eligible.  Your character can be a completely original one or an OC from a popular existing universe (pokemon, naruto, bleach, etc) as long as it is your own character.  It can even be one that you make up just for this contest.  Unlike my last "yours and my oc" contest you will only have two of my OCs to choose from.  This is mostly cause they are the ones who I've really been focusing on.  For whatever reason I've never made character sheets for eithe

EDIT**- I won't be judging until 5:00pm so theres still 8 hours :) plenty of time to add the finishing touches on an entry!

WARNING: THIS CONTEST ENDS ON THE 17TH @ 5:00PM (SASKATCHEWAN, CA TIME) -I know it's not a lot of time but that's when the buy 1, get 1 free membership ends.

SO, what I need from you guys is a drawing (Digital or Traditional, either is fine) of A GIRL AND A MOOSE. yes, a moose.
I have a friend from Australia who has come to Canada for a few months but is leaving in 2 weeks. I'm putting a going away present for her and I would like to incorporate a picture of her either riding a moose or standing with a moose in a bunch of snow, with her in a big warm jacket and mitts and a toque. This is a souvenir from Canada so it has to have a Canadian theme - whether it's a maple leaf on her jacket or a beaver or a Mounty somehow incorporated - it has to feel Canadian!

The girl's description:
:bulletred: bleached blond hair, a little over shoulder length
:bulletyellow: usually wears her hair in a pulled back pony tail with bobby-pins to hold the loose strands
:bulletgreen: blue eyes
:bulletblue: average thin build, slightly athletic
